CLUB FEES Swim Club Fees
Additional discount for multi-swimmer families - please contact the treasurer. 10% discount if total annual fee is paid in full by January 20th.
In addition to club dues, each swimmer must register annually with USA Swimming. This fee is currently $60 for a full year and includes secondary insurance. HSC Late Payment Policy Monthly HSC installment fees are billed at the beginning of each month, and payment in full is due by the 10th of that month. * An account is considered delinquent and subject to a $25.00 late fee if full payment of the HSC fee is not received by the 20th of the month in which it was billed. * Membership privileges are automatically suspended if any fee is not paid in full within 60 days of the original due date, unless the HSC Board of directors has a documented and approved alternate payment plan for the delinquent fees. * Suspended members are not permitted to participate in any aspect of HSC, including practices and any other club functions until the account is brought current. * Members with delinquent but not yet suspended accounts are invited to propose an alternate payment plan to the Board for consideration. The proposed plan should be submitted in writing, and include contact information and a repayment schedule. * Notify the treasurer of your intent to propose a repayment plan. Also notify the treasurer if you plan to leave the proposal in the HSC lockbox. You may also give the proposal to the treasurer. * The Board will review the proposed payment plan as soon as practical, and will provide their decision on the repayment plan to the member in writing. If the repayment plan is not approved prior to 60 days of nonpayment of a fee from the original due date, club membership will be automatically suspended. * Instances of repeated delinquency or suspension may result in termination of the family’s club membership. * Annual fund raising fees are a separate financial obligation due by year’s end. Any residual fundraising obligation not met by December 31 are billed and due on January 10th each year. CLUB ORGANIZATION Humboldt Swim Club (HSC) is a member club of Zone 3, Pacific Swimming, a division of United States Swimming. HSC is a non-profit organization that is run by a board of directors **. HSC was formed in 1991 and later was joined with North Coast Swim Club. Locally, there are a number of volunteers committed to the sport of swimming. These parents of swimmers and former swimmers give generously of their time to ensure a program of the highest quality. Humboldt Swim Club is administered by a parent board that meets monthly to plan for the ever-changing needs of a dynamic swim team. Board meetings are scheduled for the third Thursday of each month in the staff lounge at Jacoby Creek School at 7pm. The meetings are open. Our team, like most non-profit organizations, derives its support from
a variety of sources. Swimmers' dues cover a large portion of our
pool rental, coaching salaries, and coaches' travel expenses. Because
one of our priorities is to keep dues affordable, fund raising is a
necessary part of the team's activities. We host at least two swim meets
each year and help from parents is especially needed at those times.
